National Lockdown 3.0

With effect from midnight tonight following guidelines from the UK Govt and the Angling Trust, LGCAA will be closing all its venues whilst the current rules are in place. In a statement released by the Angling Trust this evening they explain that the government have taken the decision that fishing will not be a permitted activity whist the lockdown is in effect. The full AT statement can be found at their website The current government guidance is “Stay At Home” and leaving home for recreation or leisure is prohibited.

LGCAA appreciate its short notice, but please make sure you have vacated the Poppy Hill complex by midnight tonight (5th) before the lock is changed and do not travel to or attempt to fish any of our venues until further notice. At this time we do not know how long these restrictions will be in place, the situation seems to change quite quickly and frequently these days. We will keep you all posted of any changes via social media and our website. We thank you for your support and understanding during these difficult times.

Stay safe.
