Club Match - How End : Danni's
Sunday 28th June 2015

LGCAA’s first visit of this season to How End fisheries was greeted with overcast skies and rain not far off! The lake of the day was Danni’s and Steve Mayes set the pace with a fish within the first few minutes of the starting whistle.  Rain had then set in for most of the morning and early afternoon but eventually giving way to clearer skies and increased fish activity.

Stevenage angler Dave Fitzgerald was the victor on the day and beat some of the other favoured pegs. Dave pulled peg 14 and went straight for the feeder up against the island.  His favoured setup was 6mm banded pellet on a pellet feeder over further pellet offerings, which gave him a weight of 55lb 0oz of carp.

Rich Goodwin from Letchworth was just 8oz behind Dave for a weight of 54lb 8oz. Rich pulled peg 2 and also went for the micro pellet feeder with either red maggot or corn on the hook.

Peg 8 was the home for Clive Robinson with a weight of 50lb 0oz.  Clive fished pellet over freebies on and around the sunken island from the corner peg.
